Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy (OT) is a blend of art and science concerned with the “occupation” of daily living.
Our occupational therapists help children succeed in many “jobs” of childhood, including play, self-care, school performance and social interactions. Therapy is designed to seem like play to the children, yet the therapist draws upon extensive training in specialty areas to provide challenging therapeutic activities aimed at developing greater capabilities.
Occupational therapists help children develop the following skill areas:
• Fine Motor
• Grasping Patterns
• Pre-writing/Handwriting
• Pre-scissor/Scissor
• Eye-Hand Coordination
• Visual Perceptual
• Visual Motor
• Motor Planning
• Self-Help
• Oral Motor
